NORTHSHORE RETREAT

Built in the 1920’s by famed New Orleans architects Koch and Wilson, this plantation style home needed lots of attention after a series of disasters: hurricanes, flooding and fire. Sited on beautiful and historic Lake Pontchartrain you see nothing but lake and oak trees. We worked closely with the homeowners and builders to preserve and reuse as many of the home’s original materials as possible. From the cypress paneling and beams in the living room and library to the kitchen cabinetry salvaged from the fire, we were able to pay tribute to the original construction while fitting in updated, practical touches.
